Been raining for 2 days here and while I love the rain, with 5 kids inside all the time....it can get crazy. To top it off I got some stomach virus Sunday night. So, I was throwing up all night and all Monday morning. yuck! It doesn't surprise me though Kaitlynn and Josiah both have had it. The older kids watched the younger ones and they had a day off of school. They mainly played the computers and helped me out. Abigail was my nursemaid and Freddy the babysitter. I was quite impressed by how well they coped and behaved without me right there. The house was a bit messy by afternoon when I finally stopped getting sick.
It seems like we've had a lot of bad news lately. My husband interviewed for a job and heard this weekend he didn't get it. Then my Mother-in-law called today and told me their fall trip to visit us is cancelled. We are so heartbroken. They full time RV and since they have been traveling they have always visited in the fall and in the spring. This will be the first time they haven't. My kids are so upset and I really don't blame them. They haven't seen my parents in almost 2 years! This economy really stinks. Seems like money troubles are hitting everyone.
I really don't mean to sound so negative. I know the Lord has it all in his hands, it's just so hard to understand sometimes.

I'm sorry things aren't more positive right now. You're right that the Lord has it all in his hands, but we're also human and can't help but feel a little down at times. I so know that feeling of being cooped up inside, yucky weather is one of the hardest parts of homeschooling for me. I don't mind the sprinkles right now, but in a few months I'll definitely be a little batty from it.
Hope you all return to good health soon. And hopefully things in the economy will adjust; I can't say I expect that soon, but things have been changing so much lately it's hard to tell. I'm afraid that doesn't sound very comforting does it? Take care~
Oh Missy,
Is there a way to e-Hug someone? Sounds like you need a hug or two...Maybe I could invent one...put your right hand on your left shoulder and left hand onyour right shoulder and squeeze.
Maybe you could just let the kids out for a contest to see who can get the wettest in 15 minutes just from running around in the rain (not puddles!) so they can burn off some energy! They'll only get wet, but it might help everyone's attitude by doing something different.
I am sure that God will give Fred the right job at the right time, but always in His time...Sometimes it's yes, sometimes it's no, sometimes it's wait.
I feel your family's grief that your in-laws can't come. I know how much I miss my folks and they're only gone 6 months at a time. I know - you all need e-hugs...Call me when you get a few minutes. Hopefully you remember our phone number!
Much Love, Cheryl
